Chris and Veronica are Mission Partners in Training preparing to go to Spain in 2012. They will be supporting and further developing a Christian charity which is focused on sharing the Gospel with unreached people in the Arab world. The charity is involved in raising, training and supporting Arab Christians to share the Gospel in their own countries. In 2009 alone, the Arab Christians supported by the charity, shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with over 60,000 people resulting in 5,500 people becoming new believers.

The charity is also involved in providing practical humanitarian aid and support to those living under adverse circumstances. This includes feeding and clothing the homeless as well as gathering, encouraging and educating street children. In 2009, there were over 300 visits to orphanages, prisons, hospitals and retirement homes, and over 3000 meals, medicines and blankets were handed out.

Whilst Chris will be fully involved in the financial and operational support and development of the charity, Veronica, who is originally from Spain, will be seeking to connect with other mums with babies and to use her counselling skills to reach out to Spaniards.

Chris speaks fluent Spanish and is a qualified accountant who worked in finance in the UK, South Africa, United States and Mozambique for 10yrs, whilst Veronica worked in London for the Christian charity Scripture Gift Mission (SGM Lifewords), for 9 years.

In 2009, they returned from a 6-month Discipleship Training School in Malaysia. During this time, they received both theological and practical training on reaching out to Muslims. It was also during this time that Veronica felt moved to share the Gospel with her fellow Spaniards, whilst Chris developed a passion for praying and supporting persecuted Christians worldwide. Muslim background believers often face severe persecution as a result of their faith.

They are excited about how God has opened up this unique opportunity, through which they can both reach the different people groups that God has placed on their hearts.
