“It is my passion to see Christians responding to Muslims on a thoroughly biblical basis and with the mind of Christ.”
Until recently, Ida Glaser (married to David Coffey) was Senior Teaching and Research Fellow at The Edinburgh Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies. She also has experience of teaching physics in Islamic contexts and of church-based outreach in multi-racial, inner-city Britain. Employed by Crosslinks, she was the director of Faith to Faith, a Christian consultancy on other faiths. At post-graduate level she has taught Muslim-Christian relations in Jamaica, Nigeria, India and the Philippines, as well as in Birmingham, in the UK.
She has published widely on Islam and Muslim-Christian interaction.
Currently, Ida and her husband have left Edinburgh and are seeking to start a similar work in England. During the months of October 2007 to March 2008 the Crowther Centre for Mission Education has the privilege to host Ida as a part-time Missiologist in Residence.
