'A lovely walk' for mission
Tony and Judith Hodgson pause for a breather during their 2012 walk
When it comes to sponsored challenges, it’s not all skydives and scaling mountains, as a group of enthusiastic CMS supporters have shown.
On 12 May, 10 people participated in the first CMS South Downs Walk, raising more than £2,000 for mission.
Eight supporters walked 10km, one walked 20km and one 40km.
“I’m constantly amazed how many gifted people volunteer for placements, often in dangerous places, for CMS, and this is a testament to their extraordinary faith,” said walker Judith Hodgson from Oundle, adding, “We are so fortunate, having a lovely walk in the sun with friends.”
Huge thanks to all participants and supporters.
A second South Downs walk is planned for 11 May 2013.
