A new project started by Latin partner Gonzalo Soria in Fray Bentos is sharing the love of Jesus with teenage mothers in need
Gonzalo, parish priest at La Trinidad church, says, “Early this year, a local 14 year old girl became pregnant. The child was born at seven months with health problems.”
Due to the lack of work available and the mother’s lack of education, she couldn’t cope financially.
“As a community we wanted to help, so we prayed for the Lord’s guidance,” said Gonzalo.
Then a friend called suddenly saying, “I want to help in the parish – what can I do?’”
A group of teenage mothers are now being given hairdressing training and weekly classes so they can learn about Jesus.
