Mt Kilimanjaro - September 2012
Trek the magical heights of Kilimanjaro...
...and meet the inspiring workers at Neema Crafts
Trek through forest and moorland to the snow-capped summit of the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m)
21 September – 5 October 2012
Plus spend two days at Neema Crafts Centre with mission partners Ben and Katy Ray.
Neema started with training three deaf people in the art of papermaking, and today has expanded to provide skills and jobs for more than 100 deaf and disabled people who would otherwise be marginalised.
Rising impressively from the surrounding savannah, Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa at nearly 6,000m above sea level.
We can’t pretend this challenge is for the faint hearted: trekking for 10 days through thick forest, moorland and scree you will be physically and mentally challenged and pushed near your limits.
But we’re convinced that the breath-taking views from the snow-covered summit, the wonderful camaraderie you will experience, the clear night skies and shining glaciers will make it all worthwhile. This will be a truly unforgettable experience.
If you can’t make February, various other dates are available – just ask.
Registration costs £549 and the fundraising target is £3,950.
We will help you every step of the way to achieving this target with fundraising tips and advice and a friendly voice on the end of the phone.
Ascend new heights for mission by taking on this extraordinary adventure, and you will help us take another step towards a world that knows Jesus. Thank you.
