Paul is a CMS director responsible for sharing ideas, resources and people across the various mission networks of which CMS is a part

A gifted communicator, Paul is warm, funny and provocative - always keen to pose a challenging question with a twinkle in his eye.

In his own words: "Born in London, bred in Blackpool, reborn in London, flirted with the City, survived in Peckham, sweated in Karachi, and now flit around the UK from a Southampton home with occasional international roles."

With his wife Helen he worked for nine years in Pakistan, first with Central Asia Mission and then for five years with CMS. During this time Paul was a development officer and then project coordinator with the Ibtida Drug Rehabilitation project. His work included financial management, training, and co-ordinating the staff team.

He was ordained deacon in the Church of Pakistan in 1994 and has preaching and pastoral responsibilities in Holy Trinity Cathedral, Karachi. Since returning to the UK and before returning to CMS Paul worked with the Shaftesbury Society.

Helen and Paul have three children. They previously lived in south-east London, where Paul was a full-time worker and leader in Peckham Park Road Baptist Church. Today he belongs to St James's Parish Church in Shirley.
