 Scripture meditation
Psalm 69:13 - But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Lord. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love, answer me.
 Africa
Australia visit - Dennis Tongoi, executive director of CMS Africa, has returned from a month-long tour in Australia, says, “ I was greatly encouraged by the humility of the leaders I met especially of Archbishop Peter Jensen. I also met Geoffrey Kariuki, a Kenyan CMS Australia Staff. He went as student, and is now a missionary in Australia. I now appreciate the focus that CMS Australia have on the Anglican Church in Tanzania. I also spoke at CMS Australia Summer conferences in Sydney. Brisbane, Adelaide, Tasmania and Melbourne. The main aim of the trip was to explore the possibility of sending African Chaplains to Australian Schools which have growing African populations. Pray for the Rev Tim Mildenhall and Aboriginal leaders as they plan to visit and participate in an urban transformation seminar in Africa.”
CMS Africa staff - Oscar Sang of CMS Africa asks prayer for their new finance manager and colleague, Wycliffe Omukuba, who had a road accident over the weekend in Rongai, Nairobi. Thank God that he and friends aboard the vehicle were not injured.

Pray that this will be a vehicle of valued capacity building and consultancy services across the globe.”
Ghana - Chris Ampadu from Samaritan Strategy Africa says "I arrived at Cape Coast, Ghana for our four-day Vision Conference. Our meeting with the host committee went very well. Pray for Rev Joseph Antwi, myself and for the committee as we commence our meetings. Pray for us, as we shall also be interviewed on radio." Pray too for the ongoing impact of the holistic mission vision on the attendees.
Kenya - Mission partner Colin Smith at Carlile College's Sentre for Urban Mission writes, “Please pray for Centre for Urban Mission staff working in Nairobi’s Korogocho slum. The security situation there is very difficult at the moment.”
Nigeria - Faith2Share: The Nigerian Sunday Tribune have reported the release of Archbishop Peter Imasuen, the Anglican archbishop of Benin Diocese who was abducted at gunpoint (PrayerSpace last week). There is no word as yet as to whether the US$100,000 ransom demanded by his captors was paid or not. Interviewed in today's paper the archbishop's colleague, Archbishop J.O. Akinfenwa of Ibadan who is also chair of the Oyo State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said, "Evil people are now devicing every means possible to survive and this can be traced to the economy. The recent economic recession and the economic bankruptcy here and there are the major problems. In times like this, people run from pillar to pole to find ways of surviving. And for the wicked, they will continue in their wickedness."
Sudan - Ruth Radley, mission partner, Sudan, reports a successful Sunday School teachers’ conference in Rumbek, South Sudan. Ruth wrote, “I thought, having asked people to pray, I would now give thanks that all went well – I have to admit, it wasn’t easy training at all, but I know God used it – and I learnt a lot. I give thanks for the safe travel to and from Adol, and for the 30 participants who shared in a workshop about Sunday School, and children. Please continue praying that seeds sown will bear fruit in their rightful time.”
West Africa - Chris Ampadu represents Samaritan Strategy Africa in West Africa, and gives thanks for the positive reception of their message of holistic mission, where churches are encouraged to turn a biblical worldview into practical projects in their community. A recent retreat  on the subject in one Pentecostal church in Ghana was extended by two days: "The 120 members of the Church love the wholistic message and have started with love by sharing their food and clothing with needy and poor people," says Chris. "I was also the key facilitator at the Compassion International, Ghana, staff day of fasting and prayer, which was very powerful."

As we return to Asunción, with its challenges and opportunities, we are aware of how important it is that members of the Paraguayan Anglican Church mature spiritually, enabling God’s people to be couriers of the Good News and the mission of the church to be fruitful and prosper. Please pray with us for wisdom and sensitivity; for continued good health and strength, and for the establishment of good working teams with our co-workers in the Diocese."
