China - changing environments
Made in China - the motto of China’s rapid economic development has come at some cost.

As the West outsources its industrial production to China it is only now we are becoming aware of the environmental implications. China’s rural poor are suffering most,
while toxic pollutants and natural disasters stalk the cities.
  • What are the implications for China and for us in Britain?
  • What are our environmental and Christian responsibilities?
  • What is being done to help those in greatest need?
Guest Speaker: Zhang Liwei (formerly head of development at the Amity Foundation, and now at Nanjing University)

The Conference will be held at Ushaw College, Durham, DH7 9RH
