Thanks to CMS supporters, thousands of flood affected families in the Indian subcontinent have received essential help in Jesus' name.
Twenty-four flood-affected families in north India had new high-quality homes in time for winter, thanks in part to CMS mission partner David Ingleby, working with Habitat for Humanity.
“These new homes are earthquake-resistant and solar-powered to stay warm in the bitter cold months,” says David, who served as project manager and monitor for this vital construction project.
Next, David will be partnering with another NGO to house a community of 40 families currently living on the streets. “Most of the men are leprosy-affected and physically disabled.”
Pakistan floods follow-up
Thanks to the generosity of CMS supporters, 3,500 flood-affected families in Pakistan received much-needed food packages in Jesus’ name.
From the front lines, mission partner Jane Jerrard said, “This required great patience to reach the villages since travel conditions were muddy and difficult.”
Jane and her colleagues have also helped villagers throughout Sindh receive ration cards and health care from the Pakistan government.
