A brand new football ministry is attracting 50 young men from the rough streets of Brazil each week, says mission partner Andy Roberts at Living Waters Church in Recife.

“We’re enjoying building relationships with the mainly non-Christian guys…

"They know that in order to enter our new official Transform FC team, they have to come along to ministry events,” he said.

Some of the young men who attend are new Christians, who began following Jesus at a recent evangelistic camp Andy led.

“They’ve all had varying involvement with drug gangs,” he said.

“Some can’t read or write and they face many challenges as they try to live out their new faith – please pray as I meet with them for discipleship.”
