CMS at Greenbelt 2007
At Greenbelt 2007, CMS breathed new life into the theme of "Setting Captives Free".
It addressed issues of peace and reconciliation in Israel/Palestine; told the stories of people set free from addiction; provided a platform for the energetic routines and simple testimonies of Tajik breakdancers, whose outreach is touching neglected youngsters and marginalised communities in Central Asia and Eastern Europe; and put on an all-age performance of "Free for All" about slavery past and present.
It also profiled short-term mission opportunities, exciting challenges to become involved in CMS projects, human trafficking in India, 'emerging church' and church planting, new forms of worship, and life coaching on dealing with 'emotional baggage'.
It hosted lively worship sessions, hip hop and jazz acts, and an all-inclusive salsa experience.
