Stories of 'secret mission'
Here are just three inspiring examples of local believers who are being supported by mission partners we can't show you in countries that discriminate against Christians
Please give whatever you can to support mission partners whose names we can't tell you

First there’s ****, who is finding his way towards the God of the Bible.
Were you able to talk to **** he’d eagerly tell you the mission partner he met is ‘an angel’. **** is a refugee now living under the kind of regime where believers face fear and anxiety. As a result he found himself, "suffering from fear, shame, guilt, worry, anxiety, depression, loneliness, jealousy and other mental health problems."
Then he just ‘happened’ to meet two of our CMS mission partners – a married couple. And found himself talking, drinking tea and eating with these ‘angels’. And, in his own words, discovering "a tremendous hope, peace and comfort".
**** adds, "I was so attracted by the glowing faces, treatment and behaviour of these two people. God sent these angels to save my life and the life of hundreds of others."
Second, *******, who had been imprisoned in his own country for standing up for human rights. In solitary confinement, all he had to read was the Qur'an and the letters of a powerful Muslim leader. Meanwhile, Islamic sermons had been continually relayed into his cell.
Finally ******* was released – but with no papers. As a non-person, with no identification, he could no longer even drive his car. So, with his young family, he fled across the border to claim refugee status.
This was how he found the small community of Christians. And a mission partner couple who took ******* and his family to their hearts. They used their English language to help the son with his education and with emails and letters. In an amazing answer to prayer, they even managed to help his wife get a passport.
And *******’s journey to faith has begun. The family are gradually becoming part of the church and discovering the love of Christ for themselves.
Then there is the remarkable story of ********, who discovered Jesus 20 years ago through Christian radio. And for the whole 20 years he thought he was the only believer in the country.
Desperate for a Bible, ******** flew abroad to buy one. Then he discovered a satellite Christian TV programme in his dialect and through it learned of other local believers.
You can imagine ********’s joy as he brought his Bible to the first meeting he had with another believer. Here he told how 20 years before he had drawn a cross on the inside of his cap and worn it faithfully, symbolising Jesus’ sacrifice always covering him.
Later ******** had baptised himself, wanting to obey what he had read in the Bible.
Now, one of our mission partners is helping ******** and his family grow in their faith. And praying he will be able to raise up a church in ********’s home.
