Sharing Jesus, Changing Lives
CMS programmes for your church

CMS programmes can be presented on Sunday morning, Sunday evening or during the week. Depending on the needs of your church, CMS can bring one of a variety of relevant talks, presentations or interactive seminars. Below is a sampling of programmes we offer.

The Bible’s Big Story – Our Story
Many Christians struggle with the length and complexity of the Bible, remembering who’s who, what’s what and why it matters. This dynamic presentation uses humorous illustrations, colourful symbols and keywords to bring the Bible’s main story into focus.

Your CMS speaker will help people grasp the basic themes, covenants and events of the Bible’s story from Creation to Christ. As the narrative unfolds, each person will more deeply understand how creation and history culminate in Jesus the Messiah – and what that means for all of us.

The Bible’s is the greatest story ever told. It is also our story. Your church will never forget The Bible’s Big Story.

Mission Update – In Person
Does your church have a heart for people in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe or the UK? Or for urban mission, children’s ministry, mission to people on the margins or mission among people of many faiths?

CMS supports over 800 people in mission in 66 countries including the UK. They come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common: a passion for mission.

Hear the latest stories and news from whatever context interests you, brought to you by someone who’s been there. You’ll be touched, inspired and challenged through Mission Updates.

Cross and Crescent: Islam for Christians
What does the Qur’an teach? What are the pillars of Islam? Is Islam a monolith? How do I share my faith with my Muslim neighbour?

Drawing on years of experience working with people of many faiths, including Islam, this CMS interactive seminar helps Christians move past any misunderstanding or misgiving they may have regarding followers of Islam.

Special note: If you are interested in this presentation, you might also like Jesus in the Passover or other messages we offer on Being a Christian Witness to your Buddhist/ Hindu Friends.

The Christ we Share
How do we picture Jesus? How do cultures around the world envision him? You are invited to see Jesus through the eyes of Christian artists from Africa, Asia and Latin America through The Christ We Share presentation. This highly adaptable programme features 32 full-colour images, PowerPoint presentations, music and worship options.

Interacting with portraits of Christ from around the world will help people in your church explore diverse worldviews and reflect on their own understanding of Jesus.

Special note: We offer several other cross-cultural mission messages. Contact our Church Relations Team for more information.

God-shaped Mission

There are so many ways of “doing mission” these days – are some better than others? Or is mission meant to be an organic part of our lives, both as individual Christians and as the Body of Christ?

In this presentation, we’ll share stories we’ve gathered and lessons we’ve learned from over 200 years in mission. And we’ll explore where we think mission is headed in the future.

On a personal level, God is calling people from everywhere into mission, overseas and on their own streets. This CMS message will show people in your church how they can be involved in mission from where they are.

Other topics include: The Emerging Church, Setting Captives Free, CMS and Mission: Sharing our Story… and many more!
